บริษัท คะตะลิสต์ จำกัด วิสาหกิจเพื่อสังคม เตรียมจัดงานมอบรางวัลผู้ประกอบการขับเคลื่อนอาหารยั่งยืนและการใช้ไข่ไก่ไร้กรง ครั้งที่ 2
บริษัท คะตะลิสต์ จำกัด วิสาหกิจเพื่อสังคม จะจัดงานมอบโล่รางวัลเพื่อประกาศเกียรติคุณให้กับผู้ประกอบการที่มีบทบาทสำคัญในการส่งเสริมอาหารยั่งยืนและสวัสดิภาพสัตว์ ผ่านการใช้ไข่ไก่ที่เลี้ยงแบบไม่ขังกรง (Cage-Free Eggs) ในวันศุกร์ที่ 27 กันยายน 2567 ตั้งแต่เวลา 09.00 – 12.30 น. ณ โรงแรมเชียงใหม่แกรนด์วิว จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ โดยมีคุณอภิรักษ์ โกษะโยธิน ประธานกรรมการบริหาร บริษัท วี ฟูดส์ (ประเทศไทย) จำกัด และ อดีตผู้ว่าราชการกรุงเทพมหานคร เป็นประธานในพิธี พร้อมด้วยตัวแทนจากภาครัฐและเอกชน รวมถึงผู้ประกอบการธุรกิจอาหาร โรงแรม และค้าปลีก เข้าร่วมงานอย่างคับคั่ง
ภายในงานจะมีการมอบโล่รางวัลและประกาศเกียรติคุณแก่ธุรกิจและองค์กรที่เป็นแบบอย่างในการส่งเสริมการใช้ไข่ไก่ไร้กรง และยึดถือจริยธรรมในการผลิตอาหารที่ปลอดภัยต่อผู้บริโภค ธุรกิจและองค์กรที่ได้รับรางวัลจะเป็นตัวอย่างที่ดีในการรับผิดชอบต่อสังคมและส่งเสริมการเปลี่ยนแปลงที่ดีในสังคมไทย นายแพทย์วัชระ พุ่มประดิษฐ์ ผู้อำนวยการบริษัท คะตะลิสต์ จำกัด กล่าวถึงการจัดงานในครั้งนี้ว่า “บริษัทฯ มุ่งเน้นการส่งเสริมสวัสดิภาพสัตว์และอาหารยั่งยืนภายใต้แนวคิดวิสาหกิจเพื่อสังคม โดยมีพันธกิจหลักในการพัฒนาสวัสดิภาพสัตว์ในระบบอาหาร และขับเคลื่อนแนวทางการผลิตอาหารที่เป็นมิตรกับสัตว์ สิ่งแวดล้อม และสุขภาพของผู้บริโภคในประเทศไทยและภูมิภาคอาเซียน”
นายแพทย์วัชระกล่าวว่า “ในปัจจุบัน ผู้บริโภคทั้งในประเทศไทยและทั่วโลกเริ่มตื่นตัวกับปัญหาของการเลี้ยงไก่ในกรงตับ ซึ่งมีผลกระทบต่อสุขภาพของแม่ไก่และผู้บริโภค การเลี้ยงในพื้นที่คับแคบยังเพิ่มความเสี่ยงต่อการเกิดโรคระบาดใหญ่ เช่น ไข้หวัดนก ซึ่งเป็นภัยคุกคามที่ส่งผลกระทบอย่างรุนแรงต่อชีวิตผู้คนและเศรษฐกิจโลก”
บริษัท คะตะลิสต์ จำกัด จึงได้สร้างความร่วมมือกับภาครัฐ ภาคเอกชน และภาคประชาสังคม เพื่อเตรียมความพร้อมให้กับภาคเกษตรกรรมในการยกระดับมาตรฐานฟาร์มไก่ไข่สู่ระบบเลี้ยงแบบไม่ขังกรง พร้อมทั้งส่งเสริมการใช้ไข่ไก่ไร้กรงเพื่อสนับสนุนการเปลี่ยนแปลงไปสู่ระบบอาหารที่ยั่งยืนในประเทศไทย
ทั้งนี้ บริษัทฯ จะจัดการมอบรางวัลทรงเกียรติแก่ธุรกิจอาหาร โรงแรม และฟาร์มที่ได้ประกาศพันธะสัญญาใช้ไข่ไก่ที่เลี้ยงแบบไม่ขังกรง เพื่อเป็นการยกย่องและส่งเสริมการผลิตอาหารที่มีจริยธรรม

Catalyst Social Enterprise is set to host its second annual awards ceremony honoring entrepreneurs who have made significant contributions to promoting sustainable food and animal welfare through the use of cage-free eggs.
The event will take place on Friday, September 27, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Chiang Mai Grandview Hotel in Chiang Mai. The ceremony will be presided over by Mr. Apirak Kosayothin, CEO of V Foods (Thailand) Co., Ltd., and former Governor of Bangkok, alongside representatives from the public and private sectors, as well as business leaders from the food, hospitality, and retail industries.
The event will feature the presentation of awards and recognition to businesses and organizations that exemplify the promotion of cage-free egg usage and ethical food production practices. The award recipients will serve as role models for social responsibility and positive change in Thai society. Dr. Wadchara Pumpradit, Director of Catalyst, highlighted the event’s importance, stating, “Our company is committed to advancing animal welfare and sustainable food under the concept of a social enterprise. Our mission is to develop animal welfare in the food system and drive the production of food that is friendly to animals, the environment, and consumer health, both in Thailand and across ASEAN.”
Dr. Wadchara also emphasized, “Today, consumers in Thailand and around the world are becoming increasingly aware of the issues associated with battery-cage farming, which impacts the health of hens and consumers. The cramped conditions also heighten the risk of pandemics like avian influenza, which poses a serious threat to lives and the global economy.”
Catalyst has collaborated with government agencies, the private sector, and civil society to prepare the agricultural sector for the transition to cage-free farming practices. The enterprise is also promoting the use of cage-free eggs as part of a broader movement towards a sustainable food system in Thailand.
During the event, prestigious awards will be given to businesses in the food, hospitality, and farming sectors committed to using cage-free eggs, recognizing and encouraging ethical food production practices.
